This document is intended to help families, students, educators, and the public to better understand the New York State English as a Second Language Achievement Test (NYSESLAT), and interpret the 2017 NYSESLAT Score Report for each English Language Learner (ELL) and Multilingual Learner (ML).

Parent Testing Meeting

Parents, please join us on March 10th at 6 p.m. for a meeting to discuss the State Wide Exams and the “Screener” Tests that are given in school.  This meeting is for parents of students in grades Kindergarten – Fifth Grade.

At this meeting, you will be able to:

  • Learn about the “screener” tests your K – 5 child takes at school 3 times a year: “MAP” and “Acadience”
  • Get information about the State-Wide Tests for 3 – 5th Graders
  • Ask questions about these different tests

There will be translation available at this meeting.
